The MT7628 platform runs OpenWrt-based firmware with Ethernet routing, hardware NAT for full-speed WAN-to-LAN throughput, and expansion support for Zigbee, BLE, and LoRa radios via mini-PCIe or USB interfaces. 4G/LTE modem options enable cellular backup connectivity, and edge computing versions support local automation, MQTT brokers, and Node-RED / Docker container deployment, making these boards ideal for smart home controller boards, WiFi router PCBA modules, IoT hub gateway boards, and industrial IoT gateway modules.
